Terms and Conditions

Refund policy
Tickets are not refundable except in the case of a cancelled or rescheduled performance. Ticket exchanges may be possible for the same production for a small fee.

Age
Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult age 16+ to be permitted into the auditorium.

Latecomers
Latecomers may be refused entry or they may be asked to wait for a suitable moment in the performance before taking their seat.

Special Effects
Some performances may include the use of specialist equipment to enhance the atmosphere of the production, such as Pyrotechnics, Strobe Machines, Smoke or Haze Machines. In these cases clear warnings of such effects will be appropriately displayed within the foyer and an audible announcement made before the show. All smoke and haze fluids used are non-allergenic.

Digital and Analogue Media
The theatre maintains a strict policy against video recording and photography of performances. This is for copyright, safety and quality purposes. Any events where this is allowed, patrons will be appropriately informed. We ask that for the comfort of other patrons that in these cases flash photography is not used.

Smoking Policy
Rotherham Theatres operate a strict policy of no smoking in all areas of the venues.

Booking Fees
The advertised ticket price will be the total price you pay with any fees included. The Booking Fee on tickets purchased will be £1.50 per ticket. There will be no additional transaction, or handling charges applied to the advertised ticket price.
There is an optional postage charge that can be added at time of payment.
This booking fee is retained by the Theatre and does not get split with the artistes and company in the performance, as happens with the ticket price. This means that every penny stays with us to help us continue to deliver a wide range of performances and reduce the reliance on the Council’s subsidy, to help keep the theatre open and accessible.
The Booking Fee does not apply to amateur or community hires.
Thank you for helping the Civic Theatre to grow and remain a viable provision.
